FLCRC members simply enjoy rowing. Many of our rowers have learned to row right here in Fort Langley, and others bring experience from other clubs. Some have rowed for many years, some have taken the sport up recently.

We offer our Learn to Row graduates a Novice Program to continue to develop skills and confidence (rowing with a variety of rowers and equipment). Upon coach evaluation, rowers may then join the club as a full member.

If you are an experienced rower from elsewhere and would like to join our club, please contact us.

We welcome all rowers, of all abilities, to row with us in a program best suited to you.

Our members enjoy rowing for recreation, enjoy the outdoors, training to improve skill and speed, competing at regattas, making friends with other rowers, working together in the club to maintain our equipment. Its a great sport and a great club!

We mostly scull, and sometimes sweep. We love to meet rowers from elsewhere, and introduce more people to this great lifelong sport. We welcome visiting rowers as well. Contact us for more info.

We offer:

  • A safe, beautiful, and protected waterway.
  • Convenient access to the water from the Langley Paddlesports Dock and boathouses.
  • A variety of rowing shells, including optional pontoons on our singles
  • Year round coaching by experienced NCCP trained coaches (on water and on dryland).
  • Friendly and enthusiastic members to row with.
  • All levels of experience and personal goals.
  • Participation (optional) in regattas;  race at your own age and skill level.
  • A great way to improve your physical fitness while having fun and challenging your motor and mental skills.

Membership applications are open to rowers with previous experience, and graduates of a Learn to Row and Novice program. Potential members may be evaluated by a coach to determine basic skill level and ability to row safely.

Our coaches are ready to share their love of rowing with you!

Regatta
A regatta is a day or weekend full of preparation, racing and socializing with the larger rowing community. Take the opportunity to show what you're made of as you compete with your team for personal bests and awards!

Social Functions
Community is an important part of our club; we plan social events throughout the year so that we have a chance to get to know one another on and off the water.
