SATURDAY CLUB ROW is at 730 am, NOVICES at  930 am


SAT JULY 21 -  CLUB ROW at 830 am, NOVICES at 1030 am

POSTED ARRIVAL TIMES  allows 15 minutes to get equipment ready and crews organized for launching. BE PROMPT please! Late arrivals cannot be accommodated, as this delays the start of the row for everyone else.


Monday mornings -  6:45 am  

Tuesday evenings -  5:45 pm 

Thursday mornings - 6:45 am

Thursday evenings -  5:45 pm (combined with Novices)

Saturday mornings -  7:30 am - Competitive/experienced practice

                                         9 am       - Club rowing

                                       10:30 am - Novice Group 


SUMMER NOVICE CLASSES - Saturdays 1030 am (930 am on July 14) and Thursdays at 5:45 pm (no class July 12)

****If you are a recent graduate of a Learn to Row program, or a previous rower who hasn't been on the water in a few years, sign up for NOVICE CLASSES to refresh your skills.

2018 REGATTAS:

 

*****CASCADIA MASTERS SPRINT REGATTA in Delta, July 21-22  - Lots of 1k races, including novice categories.  

-Head of the River (Nicomekl/South Surrey) - Sat Sept 15

-Deep Cove Classic (head race) - Sat Sept 29

-Burnaby Lake Small Boat Invitational - Sat Oct 6 - singles and doubles only, straight 2 km course up and back for a 4 km Time Trial. Calm water and straight course to row your best!

-Head of the Gorge (Victoria) - Sat Oct 20 - FLCRC has yet to send a crew to this challenging highlight of the head racing season. Perhaps this year!?


Each of these regattas offer something different. Some are ideal personal challenges (perhaps in a single), some are fun to train with a crew, some provide opportunities to row several races in one weekend....let us know if you would like to train and compete this year!

Regattas
A regatta is a day or weekend full of racing and socializing with the larger rowing community. Take the opportunity to show what you're made of as you compete with your team for personal bests and awards! Check the calendar for regattas. Spring starts with some head racing, (several km. long races), then sprints (1000 meters for masters, 2000 meters open racing). Fall ends with more head races.
